Yoga and its benefits
Yoga is one of the most ancient sciences of the body and spirit. It s roots stem from the Far East specifically from India. It is a holistic system of approach to the human condition and of a balanced way of living.
A large amount of exercises and techniques are included in the science of Yoga. The root of the word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word juj which means union.
Yoga is described as the union of the individual soul consciousness- spirit (jivatma) with the universal consciousness- spirit (paramatma).
In a more practical level that union has the result of a fine tuned balance and harmony of the body, mind, emotions and soul. The practices and goals of Yoga are that of a deeper understanding and development of a system for internal exploration and personal development.
Yoga offers to the human, a way to cultivate balance and equilibrium of movement and the focus on the central point of gravity even so in the body as in the mind. It rejuvenates, renews and heals the body by stretching the muscles, the joints, the spinal column, supplying the blood with oxygen, with the breathing.
The Yogic exercises rejuvenate the human system, strengthen the immune system, develop flexibility in the body and maintain the physical, energetical and intellectual condition of the human in complete balance!
